Give me a couple of days to build this up. I will probably use this as a running blog. As of July 16, 2008 - nothing new to report. ...compiling lists of violinists and violin makers. Let us see what develops from this. August 14, 2008. I have posted a few pictures of old and modern violins. I have obtained permission for all postings. August 23, 2008.
I will probably post links on this page but I have decided not to add a blog here. Instead, I encourage you to visit the following blogger site. (For me, blogspot is much easier to navigate and manage. I can also post a painting or photo on each blog as well.) Thank you. August 23, 2008.

As of October 17, 2008, still working on this and other sites - as time allows. The list of violin makers is still quite incomplete. I am finding violins, but only of the cheap variety so far. There is a potential special acquisition (Guarneri) that I cannot detail at this time. I have to go about it very slowly.
As of November 16, 2008, working on a potential Maggini. As Einstein said, there are 3 keys to success: Imagination, Work, and knowing how to keep your mouth shut. I have posted a few more photos of violins here for your amusement. The photos are not high resolution photos so they are there only to amuse and entertain. As far as I know, Pollens has not yet come out with his new book.
As of November 27, the Maggini turned out to be a copy. I bought it anyway. I am now on the trail of the Guarneri and a Da Salo. Steady as she goes - I am now looking at a Dalla Costa. Mozart played on a Dalla Costa violin, no? The Guarneri and Da Salo are still there, waiting for me. January 30, 2009.
